We give each of our cats a bath every 1-2 months. Below are the steps of bathing a cat.
Step 1:
Always trim the cat's nails first! Cats may get nervous during the bath and accidentally hurt the groomer with their long nails.
Step 2:
Use Groomer's Goop to remove stubborn stains on the coat. This shampoo helps with greasy oily coats or yellowing in white areas. Massage the coat with this shampoo.
Step 3：
Wet the coat with warm water, then apply Christensen Clean Start. Its formula allows deep cleansing without stripping the coat of its essential oils. This shampoo has to be diluted before use. The using ratio is 1:25, which is to add 1 part of the shampoo to 25 parts of water. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Step 4:
For any Bicolor Ragdoll cat, we apply Christensen White on White to clean, wet coat to whiten the white part of the coat. Let sit on the coat for approximately 2-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Step 5:
Apply Christensen Thick N Thicker to clean, wet coat. Let sit on the coat for approximately 2-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Step 6:
Apply Christensen After U Bathe Final Rinse to clean, wet coat. This effectively seals the cuticle, preventing tangles and matting. Massage the coat and skin, and then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Step 7:
Wrap the cat in a large towel to absorb extra water. Apply a small amount of Christensen Silk Spirits into the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, then massage into the coat and skin. Comb or brush through coat, making sure ends are treated. Do not rinse.
Step 8:
Dry the coat with a hair dryer! We have an automatic hair dryer imported from overseas. It has a timer, and the temperature can be adjusted from 20 to 40 Celsius degrees. The coat can be dried completely in less than an hour.
